At Mizuno Corporation EMEA we’re looking for a EMEA Apparel Designer to join our team.
About the job
In this exciting role you contribute to the profitability and growth of the European Apparel Business by supporting the Apparel product team with high quality current range designs that satisfy the needs of the European Branch offices and Export Distributors.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Support the Inline and Bespoke Category Leads with all product development tech packs and design CAD’s.
From a design perspective work with branch office markets and key distributor markets to get detailed seasonal briefs of their product requirements.
Through innovative current design proactively develop the product line and improve the process through each season and make sure that all key personnel in other departments are involved as necessary and are aware of changes.
Design and implement key range design templates and tools for efficient use by all European branch offices.
Provide seasonal (2 per year) design direction briefs for use by all European branch offices to simplify and modernize design direction at the local sites. Design brief to cover all key sport ranges.
Support design on all international and professional team assets across Europe provide initial concepts through to final full range story boards.
Provide support to all European branch office designers to ensure that order forms are accurate for factory process and that designs are inline with all Mizuno Head Office guidelines.
Continuously improve CAD templates and order form templates for entire range to insure consistency and ease of processing for all European Branch offices.
Understand consumer or team / club tendencies, requirements, competitor situations and current trend directions.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in sports apparel product design & development.
Must have gained a graduate degree preferably in a sports related design discipline.
Must employ a pro active approach demonstrating high initiative, energy and passion and an eye for product detail.
Must possess strong interpersonal and listening skills.
Advanced skills in the full Adobe design suite.
A working knowledge of CLO 3D would be advantageous.
